A paper on effective rationality

Hi,

Great blog, lots of fantastic material. Would love to see it summarized a little more. I could imagine reading some of those articles, and understanding, even enjoying them, but I really don't have the time to keep up. In my "spare/philosophy time," I write, and also read at least three books in parallel, so adding on a 9 page draft on social signaling theory or what have you is hard. I don't have any signals from the blog to convince me that there is a high enough ROI.

Took me longer to review the blog, than to skim through it :)

Sameer, thanks for stopping by!
I know what you mean by its requiring summarizing.

I started blogging with no one specific goal in mind, but gradually a pattern emerges. But the essential quality of its being all over the place remains.

Also, there is a lot of material in this area to digest, and if I am not hesitant to summarize, I risk ending up jumping to conclusions, so I am presenting ideas in the form of a review at this point.

I realize that people do not have time and energy to go through papers etc., after all, all the references are available online, and if people wanted to it is not impossible to get to them, so obviously what's stopping them is lack of time, energy, interest or priorities. One of the reasons I am not concise enough is also due shortage of my own time, energy etc.

However, I want to provide here the basis on which I build my propositions, i.e. I want to present points of reference while writing about a subject.

If you do return here to read more when you find the time, please do leave me more feedback.

Thanks
